WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?

As of January 1st 2021 Todd will be located at Heart & Skin Tattoo Studio in Fort Collins CO

Heart & Skin Tattoo is located at 255 Linden Street in Fort Collins, Colorado, above the bridal boutique on the corner of Linden and Jefferson Street.  Please enter via the black metal staircase on the North side of the building (Jefferson side).  Ring the square black doorbell at the top (you will not hear it ring) and I will meet you there.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY TATTOO SESSION?

Make sure you are well rested, well hydrated, and have eaten recently.

Aside from that, take a shower, charge your phone or tablet up to full. Due to occupancy restrictions surrounding COVID-19 we ask that you do not bring guests to your tattoo appointment at this time.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR FOR MY TATTOO SESSION?

Comfort is paramount.  Keep in mind that you may want to be able to cover up certain places that might show, depending on where you're getting your tattoo.

SHOULD I SCHEDULE A CONSULTATION PRIOR TO MY APPOINTMENT?

Todd offers consultations both in person and over email.

The best pieces always BEGIN with a cohesive plan.  To book an appointment for a consultation when Todd is accepting new appointments, please fill out the form on the booking page.

WHAT ARE SOME THINGS I MAY NOT THINK OF BEFORE I COME IN?

  • Take a shower

  • Don't bring your children under the age of 15

  • Bring all of the necessary identification

  • Bring your preferred method of payment (cash and credit cards accepted)

  • Please eat prior to coming in.

  • Please realize your specific idea may not be able to be tattooed.

  • Todd prefers to create a custom design, no matter how enticing that Pinterest find may be.

  • Todd will often try to steer a client away from adding a motivational quote or other text to their design.

WILL IT HURT?

Expect, at very least, a certain degree of pain depending on the area being tattooed.

How long does it take to heal after a tattoo?

The majority of your new tattoo's healing process will be done within the first two weeks.  However, the skin is still working to rejuvenate and heal and you need to plan on a 4-6 week period for your skin to be back to its previous state.

why do tattoos start to itch while healing?

As the skin rejuvenates itself, usually about a week after the tattoo was done, the itch sets in.  This is 100% normal.  Good moisturizers will help immensely with this but DO NOT SCRATCH IT!  If lotion isn't helping, run it under cold water for a few moments and you should be itch free.

why do you require deposits?

Often artists will have hours of work in drawing and preparing for a tattoo before you sit down in our chair.  Deposits help to ensure you make it to your appointment and that we are compensated for our time preparing for your appointment.

what are your rates?

Prices are on a piece by piece basis.

Generally, tattoos that are palm sized (4.5 x 5 inch space) cost $200 - $250 depending on complexity. This metric can be applied to your design idea to give a cost estimation at the time of booking. Tattoos that are two palm sizes or larger are preferred.

should i tip?

Tipping is not required but greatly appreciated.

what is the age requirement for getting tattooed?

We can not tattoo an individual below the age of 18, even with parental consent.

should i walk in or book an appointment?

Todd works on an appointment only basis for tattoos of any size.  First, this guarantees you will get in at a certain time without potentially waiting for hours.  Second, it gives artists the chance to draw your new tattoo so that it's 100% unique to you.

what happens if i'm late to my appointment?

Please don't be.  If you happen to be late to your appointment, please call ahead to let us know.  We will do everything we can to get you in, but please understand it may throw off the schedule for the rest of the day and we may not be able to accommodate the change due to other appointments after yours.

what happens if i don't show up to my appointment?

If you no-show, your deposit will be lost unless you are able to immediately reschedule, at which time your deposit can be rolled over to your next appointment.
